HOW TO LEGIT-CHECK YOUR ON CLOUDTILT: 5 EASY SIGNS

HOW TO LEGIT-CHECK YOUR ON CLOUDTILT: 5 EASY SIGNS

Written by: Kate Reyes (@reyezkate)

WITH comfort being the very reason behind its meteoric rise, it’s no surprise that the On Cloudtilt has become one of today’s most sought-after everyday sneakers.

And as with any shoe that hits peak popularity, copies are quick to follow.

Sadly, comfort is usually the first thing fakes sacrifice.

If you’re eyeing the On Cloudtilt Black/Ivory colorway, here’s a legit-check guide to help you spot the real deal before handing over your cash.

1. Consistency in the upper

Authentic Cloudtilts feature a clean, uniform mesh across the upper. The “Ivory” shade should lean closer to cool grey, never yellowish or uneven. If the fabric looks patchy or off-tone, that’s your first red flag.

2. Tongue logo details

The tongue logo is a dead giveaway. Originals come with a well-defined, embossed logo finished in a slightly rubberized texture. Fakes often miss the mark here, showing smaller logos, shallow embossing, and sloppy edges.

3. Side upper and logo

Check the side branding closely. The dominant tone should remain neutral grey, not warm or yellow-leaning. The logo itself should again feel rubberized and raised, not flat or cheaply printed.

4. Sole quality at the heel

This is where replicas really struggle. On’s CloudTec® technology is difficult to copy, and it shows. From the back, authentic pairs have a clean, symmetrical heel shape and premium sole finish. Fakes often look distorted, uneven, or overly stiff.

5. The aglets (yes, even these matter)

Small detail, big difference. Original Cloudtilts use boxy, squared aglets with clean corners. Replicas usually settle for round, elongated aglets, basic and easy to spot once you know what to look for.

BONUS: Trust your nose

It sounds funny, but it works. Strong chemical smells are common with fakes. Authentic pairs shouldn’t smell bad straight out of the box. If it reeks, chances are it’s just as bad as it smells.

The On Cloudtilt Black/Ivory is priced at ₱14,495.00 at Shoenami, with Same-Day Cash on Delivery (COD), Credit Card, and Bank Transfer options available.
